Eterna T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Light – 6ft Single

The IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten is an economical fitting delivering a high output of omnidirectional light from a 6-foot fluorescent tube (not supplied). This tough luminaire is constructed from a durable ABS base and impact-resistant polycarbonate diffuser, which protects it from accidental damage or vandalisation.

With its IP65 Ingress Protection rating the Eterna IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten is completely dust-tight and protects against rain or jets of water, which enables the fitting to be jet-cleaned. This energy-efficient Eterna luminaire is ideal for busy school or healthcare corridors, offices, warehouses, shower rooms, washrooms, underground car parks, tunnels, and a wide variety of outdoor uses.

For hassle-free installation, the IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten includes a convenient gear-tray and retaining strap. A knockout and IP cable gland are supplied for connections and through-wiring. Also supplied are hanging hooks and clips for alternative hanging options such as chain suspension (chain not included).

A choice of fittings is available in this Eterna range, including single and double tube luminaires of various lengths.

High Frequency

With its high-frequency electronic ballast the Eterna IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten does not flicker or hum, which are properties sometimes associated with mains-frequency 50 Hz luminaires with magnetic ballasts. This increases the suitability of this fitting for use in constantly occupied work areas. Other advantages include instant start-up and a significantly increased lamp lifespan (usually by around 50% or more against a magnetic ballast fitting).

The Eterna IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten requires 1 x 70W T8 1800mm (6ft) fluorescent tube (available separately) with G13 2-pin caps.
